Just want to finally get this off of my chest, before I return to the other discussion I'm working on.
There's just so much I've been getting upset over when it comes to the human language. ^^;
And yes, this is bit of a rant, so I may sound a little impolite, but I'm not spouting nonsense either.
I hear these things so often...
"uber is such an extreme word!""I'm not afraid, I have angst!!!"
"Ugh, I can't stand angsty teens...""The Metric system is so flawless.""lol"
Doesn't this stuff bug any of you? The wrong way of writing things, misuse, mispronunciation, and pretending that a word is part of your language when it's really not?
"uber":
Once I spent a couple of weeks to find a ton of phobias and philias on several websites and compile them into a list that's sorted A-Z. Hope someone can make use of them, maybe for stories or whatever...
Phobia: an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something
Philia: denoting fondness, especially an abnormal love for a specified thing
Adding one of these two behind the words, that I'm listing below, will change its meaning:
Pedophilia is an abnormal love of children (usually in a bad way)
Pedophobia would be an irrational fear of or aversion to children
A
abasio
people with impaired mobility
acrotomo
amputees
abluto
washing, bat

I've made the following codes with ~virtualboy2558 (https://www.deviantart.com/virtualboy2558) and hope maybe some of you could use these on other websites (maybe Core Members can use them in their journal designs, who knows) or at least you find them interesting.
filter works with Google Chrome 53.0, Internet Explorer 13.0, Edge, Mozilla Firefox 35.0, Safari 9.1, Opera 40.0, and newer
-webkit-filter adds support for Google Chrome 18.0, Safari 6.0, Opera 15.0, and newer.
You can click here to test out the recoloring with different images and Youtube videos by clicking on buttons that I provide, or allow you to insert whatever you want to test the effects on instead.
